Beginning on Rally Day, September 10, 2023, we will begin a time of celebration as we give thanks to God for His work in our midst. The theme verse for the year will be Psalm 89:1 “I will sing of the steadfast love of the Lord, forever; with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.” This verse celebrates our Lord’s past gifts and calls us to make known that faithfulness into the future. 

Our observance of the 75th anniversary will have 3 phases, Teaching, Reaching and Celebrating:

Teaching – from Rally Day until the start of Advent we will recall with thanksgiving the many teaching ministries of Holy Cross. Sunday School, VBS, Confirmation, Men’s and Women’s retreats, Youth Groups, and the like. We will also commit ourselves anew to growing in our faith. A small group Bible Study for all members will begin right after Thanksgiving and other teaching and learning opportunities will be the focus for the fall. 

Reaching – In January 2024 we will host a mission festival Sunday. Various mission organizations will join us, and we will give thanks for the many open doors to mission God has opened for our congregation. We will also be celebrating a new renewed mission partnership in Costa Rica and working alongside other local organizations. 

Celebrating – the season of Easter will be a time of celebration as we give thanks for all that God has done for us here at Holy Cross. On Sunday May 26, 2024 we will have special festival services to officially mark the 75th anniversary. Pastor Robert Bugbee will be the guest preacher for that day. 

There will be many other 75th anniversary activities, all of which will be announced in due course.
