Ride for Refuge

Ride for Refuge 2020

In spite of COVID-19, we will be participating in Ride for Refuge once again this year. I have taken over the role of team captain for the Holy Cross Lutheran Riders from Anita Syens. This year, we will be fundraising to assist Historic St. Paul’s Caring Cupboard. Because of the pandemic, this event will look completely different this year. Unlike previous years, it will not be a centrally located activity that runs on a single day. We will not have to pray for good weather. There will be no huge lines to register. Between now and October 3rd, team members may participate, either individually or collectively, in their choice of a wide range of freestyle activities that will appeal to nearly everyone. Check out this link to Freestyling Activities to see how freestyling opens up possibilities that go far beyond the traditional bike rides or 5 km walk. The range of fundraising activity options available are only limited to our imaginations and, of course, safe social distancing.

Interested in joining our team

It is very easy. Just click on this link to Team Member Registration, and follow the instructions. The Team name is HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN RIDERS. All of the information and waiver forms that would have been filled out at the venue on the day of the event are now part of the online registration process.

How to Donate

To donate to individual team members, click on this link, to Team Member Donations and search for the member’s name in the HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN RIDERS team list.

Donations to the team can be made through your weekly envelopes. Please indicate on your envelope the amount that you would like to go to Ride for Refuge. If you are not a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, you can make out to the church, with a notation that funds are to go to Ride for Refuge.
